Well hey there, friendly reader…and At Last Count’s bonus epilogue

So nice to meet you, friendly reader, and thanks for signing up.

Let’s talk about writing – my favourite thing.

I am a multihyphenate writer: author, screenwriter, playwright, and podcast creator.

For film, tv and streaming, I write mostly romantic movies and family, both live action and animation. For books, I write romance and contemporary/literary fiction…and there may be kids’ books too at some point. The to-write list is long.

Hopefully fun, interesting missives will show up in your in-box about writing, the creative process, and stuff to read that’s coming down the pike.

You can also check out my website, www.clairerossdunn.com, to access the archives, when, ahem, there are newsletter updates to archive. I’m on it. I swear.

Are you looking for the bonus epilogue to At Last Count?

You can find it here. You won’t find this epilogue anywhere else—it’s only for you special humans who have signed up here.

Word to the wise—don’t read the bonus epilogue until you’ve read the book. You can do that by buying it in paperback, e-book or audiobook in all the typical places and especially your local indie bookseller. And it would be so delightful if you did.

A Globe and Mail Best Book of 2022 and Toronto Star summer reads pick, At Last Count is a romantic coming-of-age tale for adult readers about Paisley, a Toronto birding archivist who is losing her apartment to condos—particularly challenging because she struggles with OCD and being displaced is a trigger. She soon discovers the only person who can help reclaim her family homestead in rural Ontario is Garnet, her childhood nemesis and secret crush.

Told in two time periods as their past relationship dovetails with the present, we wonder if these two will manage to overcome their obstacles to find Paisley a place to live, and, hopefully, fall in love.

In the next few days I'll send you more information about me, my books, movies, and where you can find my work on screen, online or onstage.

Thanks so much for joining me. I can’t wait to share news of upcoming projects, musings about the writing life, craft and process, exclusive content, and other good stuff.

Talk soon.

Claire
